2.1 Anikin is the controller of the personal information we hold about you in connection with your use of the Service. This means that we determine and are responsible for how your personal information is used.
3. Personal information we collect from you when you use the service or communicate with us

4. Information we collect about you automatically
4.1 We also automatically collect personal information about how you access and use the Service, and information about the device you use to access the Service when you visit our Website, read our emails, or otherwise engage with us.
4.2 The table at ANNEX 2 sets out in detail the categories of personal information we collect about you automatically and how we use that information. The table also lists the legal basis which we rely on to process the personal information and recipients of that personal information. For more information on cookies and other tracking technologies we use to collect this information, please see Section 10 below.
4.3 We may link or combine the personal information we collect about you and the information we collect automatically. This allows us to provide you with a personalised experience regardless of how you interact with us.
4.4 We may anonymise and aggregate any of the personal information we collect (so that it does not directly identify you). We may use anonymised information for purposes that include testing our IT systems, research, data analysis, improving the Service and developing new products and features. We may also share such anonymised and aggregated information with others.
5. Information we collect about you from third party service providers and partners
5.1 We also collect your personal data from third party sources, i.e. our service providers that provide operational assistance, email, marketing and analytics services, as well as financial and credit related services, payment services (including Apple Pay and Google Pay) and social media platforms. Information received from third parties will be checked to ensure that the third party either has your consent or are otherwise legally permitted or required to disclose your personal data to us.
5.2 The table at ANNEX 4 sets out in detail the categories of personal information we collect about you from such third parties and how we use that information.
6. Our legal basis for processing your personal data
6.1 We use the personal data that we collect from and about you only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or for purposes that we explain to you at the time we collect your information. Depending on our purpose for collecting your information, we rely on one of the following legal bases:
6.1.1 Contract - we require certain personal data in order to provide the goods and support the services you purchase or request from us;
6.1.2 Consent – in certain circumstances, we may ask for your consent (separately from any contract between us) before we collect, use, or disclose your personal data, in which case you can voluntarily choose to give or deny your consent without any negative consequences to you;
6.1.3 Legitimate interests – we will use or disclose your personal data for the legitimate interests of either Anikin or a third party, but only when we are confident that your privacy rights will remain appropriately protected. If we rely on our (or a third party's) legitimate interests, these interests will normally be to: operate, provide and improve our business, including our Website; communicate with you and respond to your questions; improve our Website or use the insights to improve or develop marketing activities and promote our products and services; detect or prevent illegal activities (for example, fraud); and/or to manage the security of our IT infrastructure, and the safety and security of our employees, customers, vendors and visitors. Where we require your data to pursue our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of a third party, it will be in a way which is reasonable for you to expect as part of the running of our business and which does not materially affect your rights and freedoms; or
6.1.4 Legal obligation – there may be instances where we must process and retain your personal data to comply with laws or to fulfil certain legal obligations.
6.2 Annexes 1, 2 and 4 detail which legal basis we use for different categories of personal data.
7. How long will we store your personal information
7.1 We will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of our legitimate business interests and satisfying any legal or reporting requirements.
7.2 To determine the appropriate retention period for personal information, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal information, the purposes for which we process your personal information and the applicable legal requirements.
7.3 In certain circumstances, we will need to keep your information for legal reasons after your account has been deleted. The specific retention periods depend on the nature of the information and why it is collected and processed and the nature of the legal requirement. For example: we keep your information when we have a legal obligation to do so such as, if a court order is received about your account, we would retained your data for longer than the usual retention period when an account is deleted; to deal with and resolve requests and complaints (for example, if there is an ongoing complaint with respect to a purchased item arriving damaged but you had deleted your account), and for litigation or regulatory matters (for example we would retain your information if there was an ongoing legal claim and the information was relevant to the claim. This information would be retained until the legal claim had been concluded).

8.1 We may share your personal information with the following (as required in accordance with the purposes set out in Annexes 1 and 2):
(a) Service providers and advisors: we may share your personal information with third party vendors and other service providers that perform services for us or on our behalf, which may include providing professional services, such as legal and accounting services, mailing, email or chat services, fraud prevention, web hosting, or providing analytic services.

(d) Law enforcement, regulators and other parties for legal reasons: we may share your personal information with third parties as required by law or if we reasonably believe that such action is necessary to (i) comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement; (ii) detect and investigate illegal activities and breaches of agreements, including our Terms of Service; and/or (iii) exercise or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of KatKin, its users or others.
(e) Other persons: we may share your personal information with any other person if we have your consent to the disclosure (obtained separately from any contract between us).

Your personal information may be processed outside of the UK / EEA including in the United States.
10.3 If you wish to enquire further about these safeguards used, please contact us using the details set out at the end of this Privacy Policy.

12. Cookies and similar technologies used on our website
12.1 We and our third-party service providers automatically collect information about you when you use our Service, as further described in ANNEX 2. We typically collect this information through tracking technologies including cookies, pixels and embedded scripts (collectively "cookies").
12.2 Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Website owners can use cookies for a variety of reasons that can include enabling their websites to work (or work more efficiently), providing personalised content and advertising, and creating website analytics.
12.3 Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, Anikin) are called "first party cookies". Only the website owner can access the first party cookies it sets. Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third party cookies". Third party cookies enable third party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g. like advertising, interactive content and social sharing). The parties that set these third party cookies can recognise your device both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits other websites that have partnered with them.
12.4 We use first party and third party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons that are strictly necessary for our website to operate, and we refer to these as "essential" cookies. Other cookies also enable us to provide website functionality, or to enhance visitors' experience on our Website by providing them with personalised content and advertising. This is described in more detail below.
12.5 We use the following types of cookies:
(a) Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are required for the essential operation of our Website such as to authenticate users and prevent fraudulent use.
(b) Analytical/performance cookies. They allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our Website when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our Website works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.
(c) Functionality cookies. These are used to recognise you when you return to our Website. This enables us to personalise our content for you, greet you by name and remember your preferences (for example, your choice of language or region).
(d) Targeting cookies. These cookies record your visit to our Website, the pages you have visited and the links you have followed. We will use this information to make our Website and the advertising displayed on it more relevant to your interests. We may also share this information with third parties for this purpose.
12.6 The specific cookies we use are set out in more detail in ANNEX 3.
12.7 Other than strictly necessary cookies, we will only use cookies to the extent that you give us your consent to do so. You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies that are not strictly necessary. If you do not wish to receive cookies at all, most browsers will also allow you to change your cookie settings to reject all cookies. Please note that if you choose to refuse cookies you may not be able to use the full functionality of our Service. These settings will typically be found in the "options" or "preferences" menu of your browser. In order to understand these settings, the following links may be helpful, otherwise you should use the "Help" option in your browser for more details.
(b) Cookie settings in Firefox
(c) Cookie settings in Safari and iOS
(d) Cookie settings in Internet Explorer
12.8 If you only want to limit third party advertising cookies, you can turn such cookies off by visiting the following links (please bear in mind that there are many more companies listed on these sites than those that drop cookies via our Website):
(a) Your Online Choices (http://www.youronlinechoices.com/)
(b) Network Advertising Initiative (http://www.networkadvertising.org/)
(c) Digital Advertising Alliance (http://www.aboutads.info/consumers)
13. TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES USED IN OUR EMAILS
13.1 Our emails may contain tracking pixels that identify if and when you have opened an email that we have sent you, how many times you have read it and whether you have clicked on any links in that email. This helps us measure the effectiveness of our marketing email campaigns, make the emails we send to you more relevant to your interests and to understand if you have opened and read any important administrative emails we might send you.
13.2 Most popular email clients will allow you to block these pixels by disabling certain external images in emails. You can do this through the settings on your email client – these generally give you the option of choosing whether emails will display "remote images", "remote content" or "images" by default.
13.3 Some browsers also give you the option of downloading and installing extensions that block pixels and other tracking technologies.
14. INTEREST BASED ADVERTISING
14.1 We participate in interest-based advertising and use third party advertising companies to serve you targeted advertisements based on your browsing history and use of the Website. We may share, or we may permit third party online advertising networks, social media companies and other third party services to collect information about your use of the Website over time so that they may play or display ads on the Website, on other websites, apps or services you may use (including Facebook), and on other devices you may use.
14.2 Typically, but not always, this information is collected through cookies and similar tracking technologies. These third parties may collect, or we may share, mobile identifiers, such as the ID for Advertising for iOS (IDFA), Google Advertising ID, as well as your device's IP address, information about other applications on your device, your location, information about your use of the Website, email address or hashed data and information about which advertisements you have seen or clicked on.
14.3 We and our third-party partners use this information to make the advertisements you see online more relevant to your interests, as well as to provide advertising-related services such as reporting, attribution, analytics and market research.
14.4 We may also use certain forms of display advertising and other advanced features through Google Universal Analytics, such as Remarketing with Google Analytics, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, the DoubleClick Campaign Manager Integration, and Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting. These features enable us to use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the Doubleclick advertising cookie) or other third party cookies together to inform, optimize, and display ads based on your past visits to the Service. You may control your advertising preferences or opt-out of certain Google advertising products by visiting the Google Ads Preferences Manager, currently available at https://google.com/ads/preferences or by vising NAI’s online resources at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices.
14.5 We and our third-party partners may also link your various devices so that content you see on one device can result in relevant advertising on another device. We do this by collecting information about each device you use when you are logged in to the Website. We may also work with third party partners who employ tracking technologies, or the application of statistical modelling tools, to determine if two or more devices are linked to a single user or household. We may share a common account identifier (such as user ID) with third party advertising partners to help recognise you across devices. We and our partners can use this cross-device linkage to serve interest-based advertising and other personalised content to you across your devices, to perform analytics and to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns.
14.6 You may be able to limit the use of these identifiers for interest-based advertising on a particular device through the settings on your device by selecting "limit ad tracking" (iOS) or "opt out of interest based ads" (Android). You may also be able to opt-out of some, but not all, interest-based ads served by mobile ad networks by visiting http://youradchoices.com/appchoices and downloading the mobile AppChoices app.
14.7 To learn more about interest-based advertising and how you may be able to opt-out of some of this advertising, you may wish to visit:
(a) the Network Advertising Initiative’s online resources, at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices;
(b) the DAA’s resources at www.aboutads.info/choices; and/or
(c) Your Online Choices at www.youronlinechoices.eu.
14.8 Please note that opting-out of receiving interest-based advertising through the NAI’s and DAA’s or Your Online Choices online resources will only opt you out from receiving interest-based ads on that specific browser or device, but you may still receive interest-based ads on your other devices. You would need to perform the opt-out on each browser or device you use.
14.9 Some of these opt-outs may not be effective unless your browser is set to accept cookies. If you delete cookies, change your browser settings, switch browsers or devices, or use another operating system, you will need to opt-out again.
14.10 Please note that opting out of interest-based advertising does not mean you will no longer see advertising on your device – it just means that adverts may no longer be tailored to your interests.
15. Links to third party sites
15.1 The Service may, from time to time, contain links to and from third party websites, including those of other users, our partner networks, advertisers, partner merchants, news publications, retailers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for their policies. Please check the individual policies before you submit any information to those websites.
16. Our policy towards children
16.1 The Service is not directed at persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from any persons under the age of 13. In the event that we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from a child under 13, please contact us at meow@katkin.com .
17. Changes to this policy
17.1 We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in response to changing legal, regulatory, technical or business developments and so you should review this page periodically. When we change this Privacy Policy in a material way, we will take appropriate measures to inform you, consistent with the significance of the changes we make.
17.2 When we change this Privacy Policy, we will update the "last modified" date at the end of this Privacy Policy.
18. Notice to you
18.1 If we need to provide you with information about something, whether for legal, marketing or other business-related purposes, we will select what we believe is the best way to get in contact with you. We will usually do this through email or by placing a notice on the Service. The fact that we may send notices to you will not stop you from being able to opt out of certain types of contact as described in this privacy policy.
19. Contacting us

19.2 You can also contact our data protection officer using the following e-mail address: data-protection@katkin.com
